Fast growing.  Mildly toxic to dogs, cats and horses.  Keeps biting bugs away, particularly mosquitos.  This plant loves heat, sun, and water Plant in full sun for at least 6 hours even in extreme temperatures. Plant in rich, loamy soil amended with compost.  Keep moist.  Older plants are more drought tolerant. Loves high humidity. Not frost hardy. Give a haircut when temperatures drop in the 40s to about 6 inches above the soil.  It will grow again when warm weather returns. Anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial. May relieve digestive issues, relieve pain, reduce fever and anxiety.  Use as a tea or to flavor broths and marinades in cooking.
