Leaf, flower

Plant in full sun, with shade in the afternoon, or a partially shady area.  Grow in loamy or sandy soil. Requires little watering, weekly, except in dry times where twice a week is necessary to maintain moist roots. Fertile soil is preferred.  Apply fertilizer each spring if soil does not have a lot of organic material in it.   Can be invasive, so growing in a container may be preferable. Feverfew was traditionally used to treat fevers. It is now commonly used to prevent migraines and treat arthritis. Feverfew should not be used with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicines because these medicines may change how well feverfew works. It should not be used with warfarin or other anticoagulant medicines.
