In Endia's Garden

Endia reached out to ask about these curious holes in her garden. I suspect she has a mole or vole. Most likely a mole, because it is not eating her roots, (her plants look amazing and healthy!) and the holes look like mini volcanoes with some soil hilled around each edge.
If you have holes popping up like this, here are a number of remedies:
fill the holes back up and flatten them. Moles don't like their areas disturbed and will move on.
make a solution of 1 gallon water with 2 tablespoons caster oil and 1 tablespoon dishsoap. Spray it around the holes and on the soil. Moles hate the smell of castor oil.
You can buy stakes that send a vibration underground. Again, moles do not like the movement and feel disturbed and will move on. Here is a link to them: Mole Repellent Stakes
Meanwhile, here is some of Endia's garden! It is beautiful! I love the set up! If you have a garden set up, post your pictures on the blog! We'd love to see and share!
